प्रभात रंजन / Prabhat Ranjan
Fiction writer, translator and editor, Prabhat Ranjan (b. 1970) teaches Hindi at Zakir Husain Evening College, DU. Prior to this he has worked with the Hindi daily of the Indian Express group, Jansatta, as Assistant Editor and also edited a few issues of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha’s magazine Bahuvachan.
He has published a collection of short stories Janaki Pul (Gyanpeeth) and has translated Vikram A. Chandra’s novel Srinagar Conspiracy and Anne Frank’s Diary into Hindi.
Janaki Pul, the story, won him the Sahara Samay Katha Prize (2004). In 2007, he was awarded the Premchand Samman.
