किताबत / Kitabat

प्रतिलिपि में पुस्तकों पर कभी कभी लिखा गया है किंतु यह एक कमी बनी रही है. इस बार से हम एक अनियतकालिक स्तम्भ ‘किताबत’ शुरू कर रहे हैं जिसे हम इस समीक्षा-सीमित स्पेस नहीं बनाना चाहते. इस बार दो हिन्दी पुस्तकों पर लिखा गया है. पंकज चतुर्वेदी की कविताओं की किताब पर लिख रहे हैं युवा शोधकर्ता मृत्यंजय और गगन गिल के कैलाश-मानसरोवर यात्रा वृतांत अवाक् पर गिरिराज किराडू. शीर्ष कथा के अंतर्गत प्रकाशित गिरिराज किराडू का निबंध भी मूलतः तेजस्विनी निरंजन की पुस्तक साईटिंग ट्रांसलेशन: हिस्ट्री, पोस्ट-स्ट्रक्च्रलिज्म एंड द कॉलोनियल कन्टेक्स्ट की एक पढ़त है.

We have sometimes had pieces about books in Pratilipi, but not nearly as much as we’d like. We are introducing a new (irregular?) section in this issue – Kitabat – which will talk about books but not be limited to ‘criticism’. To start off, we have pieces on 2 Hindi books: one on Pankaj Chaturvedi’s book of poems by the young research scholar Mrityunjay, the other on Gagan Gill’s account of her journey to Kailash-Mansarovar, Avaak. Another essay by Giriraj Kiradoo, published under the lead story, is also basically a reading of Tejaswini Niranjan’s Siting Translation: History, Post-structuralism and the Colonial Context. |
