Deepika Arwind, 23, from Bangalore, is the culmination of scattered Punjabi roots and a childhood of trying to be South Indian. Her current obsessions include writing about the city in all its darkness. On most other days, she is a journalist. She likes pictures — making and taking them — and being other people. She will be reading at the Poetry with Prakriti festival in Chennai this year.
