| शायद जो एक शब्द दिलीप चित्रे को परिभाषित करता है वह है ‘गैर-पारंपरिक’. एक मृत्यु के ढंग को छोड़कर इस मराठी-अंग्रेजी कवि के बारे में सब कुछ गैर-पारंपरिक ही रहा. यह कह सकना अभी संभव नहीं कि उनकी अनुपस्थिति का भारतीय साहित्यिक संसार पर क्या असर पड़ेगा लेकिन वह महसूस अभी से होने लगी है. उनके प्रति श्रद्धांजलि के रूप में प्रस्तुत है अंतिम बरसों में उनके करीबी मित्र रहे युवा हिन्दी कवि तुषार धवल के किये हुए उनकी कविताओं के अनुवाद. |
One word that defines Dilip Chitre is ‘unconventional’. Except the manner of his death, everything remained unconventional about this Marathi and English poet. It is too early to say what Dilip Chitre’s absence will do to the Indian literary scene, but it’s effects are already being felt. As a tribute, we have here some of his poems, translated by one of the close friends of his last years, the Hindi poet Tushar Dhawal.
