Devi Prasad Mishra has been writing experimental, stylistically blasphemous and polyphonic poems but has published only one collection – “Prarthana Ke Shilp Mein Nahin” that came out in 1989. He has written a few short stories and, recently, he completed his first full-length play and a novel. He has made socially relevant ads, and documentaries on water, women, communities and a poetess. He made literary cartoons with the help of his artist wife Hem Jyotika. For Indira Gandhi Open University he wrote script writing lessons. He has abandoned journalism.
ye kavita maine pahle bhi kahin padhi hai.main lagbhag devi prasadji ki sabhi kritiyan padhna chahti hun.mafi chahungi magar aaj ke kaviyon me sirf devi prasad hi aise kavi hain jo vartmaan se uddwelit hain or samay ko kavita me bandh rahe hain.unki har baat me wo baat hai jo ‘aage kya?’ ki utsukta jagati hai.unki kavitayein mujhe us film ki tarah lagti hain jo gahre andheron se bhari hai or darshak ko raste sujhati or dikhati chalti hai.n un andheron se bacha ja sakta or n hi un raston se kadam kheenche ja sakte.fool patton ki batein bahut hui ab kuchh asliyat ho jaye,,kuchh aise hai devi prasadji..wali dakni is kavita ko dekhne ke baad kurte ki bah se aansu pochhte hue nishchay hi thoda sa muskara denge ke dekho main itna akela bhi nahin..kavi ko mera dhanyawad.
