तीन कवि और एक स्त्री-मैक्स ब्रॉड / Three Poets and a Female Max Brod
| प्रतिलिपि के पहले अंक की एक ख़ास पहचान, एक ख़ास निशानदेही वे तीन कवि हैं जिनकी लिए कविता करना जितना दुर्निवार्य है उतनी ही गैर-ज़रूरी है कवि के रूप में उनकी पहचान. वे ऐसे कवि हैं जो स्वयं को कवि की तरह देखा जाना ‘सहन’ नहीं कर सकते. वे प्रकाशित नहीं होना चाहते.
उनकी कविताओं का प्रकाशन क्या उनसे विश्वासघात है? उनके लिखे को एक सार्वजनिक स्पेस में रखते हुए उन्हें उस लिखे के स्वामी (ऑथर) की तरह संज्ञापित करना संभवतः उनकी प्रायवेट अथॉरिटी का उल्लंघन है, किंतु हिन्दी कवि-अनुवादक तेजी ग्रोवर, जिन्हें ये तीनों अपना लिखा दिखाते-पढाते-भेजते रहे हैं, ने इन कवियों को सार्वजनिक में लाने के प्रयत्न पहले भी किए हैं. हिन्दी पाठक मीरन को मसलन तेजी ग्रोवर के थोड़े-से अनुवादों से ही जानते हैं. ये मनुष्य कविता क्यों करते हैं, कवि कहे जाने वाले मनुष्य कविता क्यों करते हैं, ये मनुष्य अंग्रेज़ी में कविता क्यों करते हैं, ये प्रकाशन से, कवित्व के सार्वजनिक अभिज्ञान से क्यों संकोच करते है, ये कवि कहे जाने वाले कवियों के संसार से, उनकी कविता से कैसा सम्बन्ध बनाते हैं? हम इन प्रश्नों पर लौटेंगे, पर उनके काम के साक्ष्य से. फिलहाल, हम तेजी ग्रोवर के कृतज्ञ हैं इन कवियों का काम उपलब्ध कराने के लिए. इन तीनों कवियों का काम ‘जैसा-हमें-मिला’ वैसा ही छाप रहे हैं, इस उम्मीद से कि जिस ‘अपनी’ विधि से ये तीनों ‘कवि’ हैं, उसके साक्षी सभी हो सकें. |
Exclusive to the inaugural issue of Pratilipi are three poets whose compulsion to write poetry is as persistent as their need to be identified as poets non-existent. They are poets who cannot ‘bear’ to be looked upon as poets. They do not want to be published.
Is the publication of their poems, then, a betrayal? Putting their work up in a public space and establishing their authorship may possibly be intrusive of their private authority, but Hindi poet-translator Teji Grover (to whom these three poets send/read/show their work) has tried more than once to bring their work to light. Hindi readers, for example, may already know some of Miranhshah’s work through her translations. Why do they write poetry? Why does any poet write poetry? Why in English? Why are they reluctant to be published? Why reluctant to be publicly recognized as poets? What sort of relation do they build to the poetry of poets who are called poets? We shall come back to these questions, but by way of their work. We are obliged to Teji Grover for having made their work available to us. We are publishing their work as-is, with no editorial intrusion, in the hope that we can be witnesses to their own private way of being poets. |

came accross the very first issue of ‘Pratilipi’ . though it’s too early to comment anything , thanks to Teji Grover for introducing these three poets . at first glance, Miranshah is noteworthy for his refreshingly epigrammatic style & he instantly became my favourite .
