Gaze Of Colour: Bhashwati
Sitting on a Boulder in Colorado
I’m not a mountain person
yet every time i am dwarfed by them
my gratitude returns in its fullness
It is i think comprehension
that dawns on me as i sit taking stock
of the elegant trees on the grading slopes
No calm descends on my spirit
only relief that I and my kind
can never be the mightiest on earth
No inspired song escapes my lips
instead from the assembly of the ancient
greedily i amass their invincible silence
The goings up must always be light
keep the heart empty, the mind without thought
and climb down packed dense with new capacities
