Black Bear Café

Black Bear Café is simply out of this world on a rainy evening.

It sits on Lake Como in a quiet part of St. Paul next to a rail road which passes through its unfenced parking lot.

It has a wide wooden deck under the sky and a small cafeteria inside that branches off into rooms that are available free of charge to anyone that wishes to use them for non commercial   meaningful work with disadvantaged and at risk communities.

The coffee is good as are the salads and the ambience is light.

The icing on the cake is the caressing strain of the Native American flute playing in the background which expands to fill the space that each rambling train leaves behind as it trundles off with grain, coal and timber to Canada
