Born 1935 and educated at Allahabad University, Ramesh Chandra Dwivedi served Firaq Gorakhpuri as his ‘Literary Secretary’ (1953-82). He has edited most of the Devnagari versions of Firaq’s prose works (Vani Prakashan, New Delhi) and has written four books on Firaq’s life and personality – Firaq Sahab, Maine Firaq ko Dekha hai, Yoon hee Firaq ne Umra Basar kee and Mere Nagmon ko Neend Aati hai.
