Born 1979, Nishant is a research scholar at JNU. His debut poetry collection, Jawan hote hue Ladke ka Kuboolnaama, was published by the Bharatiya Gyanpeeth in 2008. He received the Bharat Bhushan Agrawal Smruti poetry award in the same year.
