Minakshi Thakur was born in Ipswich, England. She grew up in Patna, Bihar. She has published a book of English Poems, An Indian Evening with the Writers Workshop, Kolkata and a book of Hindi poems, Jab Utthi Yavanika from Patna. She has trained in Khayal and Dhrupad for sixteen years and has given many public performances in the Khayal style of singing. Presently she works as an Editor with HarperCollins Publisher India.
