मंजुला पद्मनाभन / Manjula Padmanabhan

Manjula Padmanabhan (b. 1953) is a playwright, journalist, comic strip artist, and children’s book author. Her play “Harvest” won the first Onassis prize for Theater after it premiered in Greece in 1999. She has also written such plays as “Lights Out!”, “Hidden Fires”, “The Artist’s Model” and “Sextet” and has authored the short-story collections “Kleptomania” and “Hot Death, Cold Soup”.

Her most recent book, published in 2008, is titled “Escape”. The novel, set in a dystopian world, focuses on the last surviving girl in a world where all women have been exterminated.
