Jabeen Merchant did a BA in English literature, got a diploma in mass communication, worked at the news desk for the evening paper Mid-Day and then trained at the FTII, Pune. Since 1995, she has worked extensively in Bombay’s film and television industry and edited over a dozen documentaries, prominent among them “The Advocate”, “Q2P”, “Un-Limited Girls”, “Jari Mari” and “A Few Things I Know About Her”. Among her fiction feature films are “Manorama Six Feet Under”, “The President Is Coming”, “Agni Varsha” and “Chhutkan Ki Mahabharat”. She also teaches editing.
