Apurva Narain

Apurva Narain was born in 1967 and grew up in Lucknow and Delhi. He variously read physics, management, philosophy and development, in India and at the University of Cambridge, UK, and has diverse interests. He has been a corporate consultant, has edited a journal, has research interests in the philosophy of ecological economics, and is now a freelance consultant in the areas of development, ecology and public health. But it is literature that has been his abiding interest, from an early age. He writes in English. His translations of a selection of poems by Kunwar Narain, one of the finest poets today, was published under the title No Other World in 2008. Widely traveled, he is based in Delhi and spends time in India, England and France.
