एडम ज़गायेवस्की / Adam Jagajewsky
Adam Jagajewsky (b. 1945) is a Polish poet, novelist, and essayist. His poem Try To Praise The Mutilated World, printed in The New Yorker, became famous after 9/11. He currently is a faculty member on the University of Chicago’s Committee on Social Thought, and teaches two classes, one on fellow Polish poet Czesław Miłosz. His books of poetry include: Tremor, Canvas, Mysticism for Beginners, Without End: New and Selected Poems & Eternal Enemies. He has also published collections of essays including: Solidarity, Solitude, Two Cities & Another Beauty. He lives in Kraków.
