अनुवाद की प्रक्रिया एक पाठ-विशेष के साथ-साथ उन जटिल प्रक्रियाओं से भी एक दूरी, मुक्ति को संभव करती है जिनमें वह पाठ एक विशिष्ट संस्कृति में जन्म लेता है : यहाँ प्रकाशित क्रांतिकारी पंजाबी कवि लाल सिंह दिल की कविताओं तथा एस.हुसैन ज़ैदी की अंग्रेजी पुस्तक के अंशों के हिंदी अनुवाद तथा  हिंदी कवियों नरेन्द्र जैन,लाल्टू और महेश वर्मा की कविताओं और बोंती सेंशोवा की असमिया कहानी के अंग्रेजी अनुवाद फिर से इसकी याद दिलाते हैं.
