ग्रॉफिक गल्प अपेक्षाकृत नयी विधा है संसार की सभी भाषाओं में – भारत में भी ग्रॉफिक गल्प लिखने की कुछ शुरुआतें हुई हैं. प्रतिलिपि में हम भारत के पहले (अंग्रेज़ी) ग्रॉफिक नॉवेलिस्ट सारनाथ बनर्जी के एक उपन्यास का अंश हिन्दी अनुवाद में प्रकाशित कर चुके हैं. यहाँ प्रस्तुत प्रमोद सिंह/नितिन कुशवाहा की ग्रॉफिक कथा इस अर्थ में तो अनूठी है ही कि यह द्विभाषी/बहुभाषी है बल्कि इसलिये भी कि यह ग्रॉफिक गल्प के विधान को देसी अंदाज और विट से अपहृत कर लेती है.

Graphic fiction is a relatively new medium, in all languages — some attempts have been made even in India in this direction. At Pratilipi, we have previously published (in Hindi translation) an excerpt from a novel by India’s first (English) graphic novelist. Here we present a graphic story by Pramod Singh and Nitin Kushwaha. What makes it special is not only that it is bi/multilingual, but also because it injects a dose of “desi” idiom and wit into the form.
