Mostly from the 70s and 80s, this selection begins with some angry young poetry by two (very different) poets Dhoomil and Shreekant Verma, moves on to Kedarnath Singh’s intimate, conversational tone, finally reaching the Gyan Marg of Kunwar Narain. Hindi syntax, as one now finds it in poetry, owes much to these four poets. |
